UPDATE:

Joint operatives of the Bayawan City Police Station, Philippine Army, and Special Action Force apprehended three suspects in the killing of Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo, hours after Degamo was shot dead in his home on Saturday morning.

According to the police report, authorities apprehended suspects Joric Labrador y Garido, 50 years old, an ex-army ranger born in Marawi, Lanuso and resident of Cagayan de Oro City; Benjie Rodriguez y Buladola, 45 years old, born in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental; and Joven Aber y Calibjo,42 years old, an ex-army ranger born in Castellana, Negros Occidental and resident of Barangay Robles, Castellana, at sitio Punong Barangay Cansumalig at around 4:20 p.m. this Saturday.

Degamo was meeting with some 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) beneficiaries in his house when armed men in full battle gear entered the compound and opened fire. Degamo was rushed to the nearest hospital along with other victims of the shooting, but he expired from multiple gunshot wounds.
