I totally agree that alcohol is a form of poison and definitely bad for you. Specially when abused and over consumed. But to be fair, there's a number of other detriments and bad habits as well. Poor nutrition, lack of exercise and mobility, vanerial diseases from promiscuous lifestyle, narcotics, chaotic family upbringing resulting in bad outcomes, social media/online fixation = a socially awkward individual (sometimes resulting in suicide). I quit because I had to choose: either I would continue to drink, or I would ride a motorcycle. I chose the motorcycle and stopped drinking alcohol permanently. It took me about 5 months to regain the mental strength to ride.

look into something called intermittent fasting making your body be in a state of autophagy where it fixes all the damaged cells including the dormant cancerous cells that may linger around like a ticking bomb that'll appear later, the reason why I am mentioning this cause it completely fixes the damages done by alcohol. it is done by fasting for at least 24 hours to 7 days, drinking only water mixed with a bit of salt in it for electrolytes, also supplements such as magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin B6 and B12 while doing this fast, make sure to also sleep before 10 PM since your body's HGH secretion peaks the first hours before midnight, (fun fact: kids who sleep before 10pm tend to grow taller than if they slept later) for adults that means the bone density and muscle mass will be preserved during the fast. Personally the most days I went with this fast was 8 days without food back in August 2024, just salted water, 500MG of magnesium, 1mg of B6, 2.4 micrograms of B12 (usually the B6 and B12 vitamins come with the magnesium supplement but check the box) and 20mg of zinc, I also walked a lot to accelerate the ketosis and preserve the muscle mass and bone density, but didn't do intense workouts and you shouldn't if during the fast cause you may risk a heart attack. the first few days 1 to 4 will be extremely hard both in terms of energy and hunger, you'll also have trouble with sleep, but after your liver burns all the glucose storage in it, it will start releasing ketosis making your body run on its own fat, restoring your energy and making your hunger gone. but this only works if done correctly or you'll just end up malnourished, that's why I recommend doing a proper research if you ever consider it, check Dr. Eric Berg on YT he explains it better and in details, also consider something called the refeeding syndrome which will be important at the end of the fast, sounds like hell but totally worth it if you don't wanna end up with a rotten body by your 40's from all the micro plastics and the modern sloppy food. it has much more benefits that I can't list here or else I'd be writing a book.
