According to the police chief, one of the victims was a minor, which will result in arrest for the teacher, who was wearing a micro camera on his fanny pack.

A gym teacher at a gym in São Gonçalo, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio, was arrested after confessing that he filmed and photographed the students without them knowing. According to investigations, the images were sold on a social network. The teacher was arrested this Tuesday (17).

The academy students met at the Alcântara police station in São Gonçalo also this Tuesday. They all claim that they were victims of gym teacher Leonardo Azevedo da Costa, 34 years old.

One of them received a message warning that the teacher was displaying photos and videos of the students in a group on a social network.

“We never suspected it, he was a great teacher, his dance classes were very good and sometimes after class he called us to do stretching, normal gym stuff. Now that we saw that our photos of the back when we were staying were in these groups - we had no way of knowing that he was taking photos”, says Michele Sarlo.

Several of the women recognized themselves in the images. Marcelo Lima's daughter, a minor, was one of the students in the group.

“I, my wife, and my daughter worked out at the gym a year ago and found out about this barbaric crime against several girls who were there practicing physical activity. Not even within gyms are women free from this situation occurring. I was very embarrassed when [I learned that] my daughter's photo was on this criminal's website, being sold...”, lamented Marcelo.
