A capture made by a security camera recorded on Sunday night (23), the moment when a 25-year-old man is shot when trying to break into the Military Police barracks and is stopped by a police officer, and soon after ends up being shot in the leg.

It all started when a woman with a child arrives desperately in front of the Military Police headquarters asking for help. Soon after, the suspect, who is her ex-partner, arrives on a motorcycle and goes on top of the victim.

At the moment, the woman manages to enter the barracks with the help of a policeman, the same one who, with a gun in hand, tries to prevent the suspect from entering. The man, even noting that the policeman was armed and ordering him to move away, tried to enter by force, it was then that the policeman fired a warning shot in one of the legs. The accused fell to the ground shortly afterwards.

Moments later, a PM team was called and they sent the man to a medical unit, but he did not want to receive care and was then sent to the Flagrantes Department in Porto Velho. He can answer for threat against his ex-wife and disobedience to police authority.

The victim did not want to criminally represent her ex-husband but requested an urgent protective measure.

The man signed a Detailed Term for the crime of disobedience and was released.

According to the delegate on duty, he informed that the action of the PM corporal in shooting the suspect is within the law when mobilizing the accused with a shot in the leg.

He further reinforced that the action is provided for in art. 23, inc. II, of the Repressive Statute, that is, in legitimate self-defense and that of a third party.
