A young woman of approximately 14 years old, identified as Emanuelly Silva e Silva, resident of the Angelim neighborhood, died after throwing herself in front of a cart on Avenida Campos Dantas, in Presidente Dutra.
Security camera footage captured the moment when Emanuelly walked alone along the avenue and after a truck approached, she threw herself in front of the vehicle. The tragedy occurred around 1:46 am on Thursday morning (13).
According to information from people close to Emanuelly, she suffered from depression and had already tried to commit suicide on at least two occasions.
The young woman was a student at Colégio Ribamar Ficane, located in the neighborhood of Fátima. The school paid tribute and sympathized with family members.
