The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in the village of Adarshpur under Thana Rehra Bazar area. The SP took cognizance of the viral video of the beating of the woman. Police of Rehra police station registered a case against the woman and arrested four people, including her husband. The search for two other people is going on. The SP suspended two police personnel of Dial 112 present at the time of the incident. According to Utraula CO Manoj Kumar, Ashok, a resident of Subhapur under police station Rehra Bazar, wanted to sell his old house to his brother. While his wife Sushila was in favor of selling the house to another. There was a dispute between Ashok and Sushila on Thursday afternoon. Susheela enlisted the help of Dial 112 police as the dispute escalated. During the conversation, Ashok starts beating Sushila with a stick. Ashok's elder brother Bechu, younger brother Santosh, nephew Ankit, Sunny and Sachin also lashed sticks at Susheela. The woman was beaten publicly with a kick. During this, police and villagers remained spectators on the spot. The police personnel did not even attempt to save Susheela. Someone made a video of the entire incident and went viral. Seeing this video Superintendent of Police Deoranjan Verma ordered to take action. Inspector Vinod Kumar Agnihotri, in-charge of Rehra Bazaar, has registered a case of attempt to murder against six people, including her husband. The husband, jeth, brother-in-law and a nephew are arrested during the night. A search is on for two other nephews. SP Devaranjan Verma said that the negligence of two police personnel posted on 112 has been revealed and they have been suspended with immediate effect.
