Thaissa, a 21-year-old pastry chef, was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Henryque, 22, who cut off her arms.
One of her arms was found inside a closet at the suspect’s home, while the other was partially severed.
During the forensic investigation, four blood-soaked knives were found under a washing machine.

Henryque was identified as the perpetrator by Thaissa’s mother, who had gone out in search of her daughter.
Thaissa’s mother began to worry when her daughter did not return from her nursing class.
She posted photos of her daughter online, at which point she was contacted by one of Henryque’s ex-girlfriends, who claimed that he was a violent man.
Thaissa’s mother went to Henryque’s house.
Through a crack in the door, she saw that Henryque was in his underwear.
He refused to open the door, so his mother opened it herself.
After searching several rooms, her body was found.
