A municipal civil guard is accused of beating his ex-wife with a pocketknife this Thursday morning (3), in the Praia Azul region, in Americana. The guard allegedly threw his car into the vehicle in which the victim and his sister were, on Avenida Maranhão, and began to attack the ex with a white weapon. The guard ended up being attacked by people who defended the victim.

According to 192, American's urgent and emergency service, a team was triggered after a call about a traffic accident followed by aggression on the avenue.

Upon arriving at the scene, the team saw a vehicle on the avenue and the woman receiving assistance from the Fire Department in the vehicle.

Rescuers also found a man, who is a municipal guard, with injuries in the head region.

According to witnesses, the guard argued with the woman, who is his ex-wife, and began beating her. People intervened and to defend the woman began to beat the man.

Both were taken to the Municipal Hospital of Americana, where they remain under observation.

A team from Gama was called and registered the occurrence at the CPJ (Central de Polícia Judiciária).

The Municipal Guard of Americana reported that in relation to the patrolman involved in this morning's occurrence, he was already being investigated by the corporation's internal affairs department due to possible involvement in a case of domestic violence.

"As a result, the Gcm had already been preventively disarmed by the corporation and was carrying out internal services.
Regarding today's events, the occurrence will be presented to the civil police who will take the appropriate measures. ", informed the Gama press office.
