Five men were killed early Sunday morning (1st) inside a residence located in the rural area of Itabaiana (Brazil). The crime occurred under circumstances that are still under investigation and mobilized state security forces.

According to preliminary information, the victims were found dead inside the property. The main line of investigation points to a possible dispute between criminal factions operating in the region. There is suspicion that the dead men had links to the group known as Comando Vermelho, while the perpetrators of the attack were members of a rival faction identified as “Nova OKD.”

The Civil Police has not yet officially confirmed the involvement of the aforementioned groups and is working to clarify the dynamics of the crime, as well as the exact motive.

One of the victims showed signs of extreme violence, including mutilation, which reinforces the hypothesis of an execution with characteristics of a settling of scores. Experts conducted initial investigations at the scene, and the bodies were sent to the Scientific Police Institute (IPC) for autopsies.

So far, there is no information about suspects being arrested. The case remains under investigation, and new information should be released as the investigation progresses.
