On Friday night, February 6, 2026, a law professor, identified as Juliana Mattos, 41 years old, was murdered by a student inside a private higher education institution in the capital.
A student from the course attacked the professor, motivated by resentment accumulated since the previous semester, when she failed him by a difference of only three-tenths of a point in his final grade. The student had been expressing dissatisfaction with the grade ever since.
The victim did not survive her injuries and died.
