46-year-old Raphaël who went by the social media alias Jean Pormanove, died whilst sleeping with fellow streamers during the night of Sunday to Monday.

The moment of his death was captured in a Kick livestream, in which Jean can be heard struggling to breathe. After noticing what had happened, the streamers attempt to wake him up - "He's in a really weird position" - before the livestream ends.

While popular for his commentary on video games such as FIFA and Grand Theft Auto V, Jean was also believed to be a victim of possible abuse by his fellow livestreamers, who took advantage of his vulnerability - sometimes deliberately provoking him into a rage for comedy.

The Nice prosecutor's office confirmed "the death of a man in a room rented for live video game sessions". They said that there were no suspicious circumstances behind the death, and an autopsy will be performed.
