On the morning of Tuesday, February 6, a motorcyclist died after a collision with a car and was then hit by a truck on the SC-108 highway in Blumenau.
The accident occurred at around 10.20am, in the Itoupava Central neighborhood, on Rua Doutor Pedro Zimmermann.
According to information from the Military Fire Brigade and the Military Highway Police, a Hyundai/HB20, with license plates from Belo Horizonte (MG), was traveling from Massaranduba to Blumenau and when it tried to access the side road of the SC-108 highway, at km 75.700 on the left-hand side, it ended up colliding head-on with a Honda/Biz, from Blumenau, which was traveling along the side road.
At the time of the collision, the driver of the motorcycle was thrown into the side of a Scania G270 truck, driven by another man, which was heading in the Blumenau-Massaranduba direction.
The Fire Brigade was at the scene, but when they arrived the 39-year-old motorcyclist no longer had any vital signs, apart from polytrauma. Death was confirmed at the scene.
According to the Military Road Police (PMRv), the area has a continuous yellow lane and crossing it is forbidden.
