Executed in a "crime court" after rumors that he had committed rape, 17-year-old Bruno Ávalos did not commit the act, according to investigations by the Civil Police in Deodápolis, in the interior of Mato Grosso do Sul. According to the deputy in charge of the case, Anderson Guedes de Farias, the teenager was in an alleged relationship with the daughter of one of the suspects, who did not accept his involvement and planned the crime.

The execution of the teenager was filmed by the suspects, who are part of a criminal faction, and the video was published on social networks. The murder took place on Saturday (13), but was only confirmed on Monday (15).

According to the police, five men were arrested after confessing to the crime. According to the investigations, the 35-year-old suspected of ordering the killing had heard the victim, Bruno Ávalos, talk about an alleged romantic relationship with his daughter, which would have motivated the murder.

"This is a barbaric crime that has shocked the town's population, but which has been met with a swift and forceful response from the police forces, who have removed highly dangerous individuals from society," said Deputy Farias.

According to the police description of the crime, falsely claiming that his daughter had been raped, the teenager's father got together with four other individuals and the five of them picked up the victim at home. Bruno was lured to a rural area on the grounds that his uncle had been kidnapped.

After the teenager's execution, Bruno's uncle, who had actually been kidnapped, remained at the scene, but managed to escape and went straight to the police to report the crime.

Following the complaint from the teenager's relative, the police team went to the scene of the crime and found Bruno Ávalos' body. Following this, a Civil and Military Police task force was set up to find the five men suspected of being involved in the murder.

The men were arrested on Sunday (14). One of the suspects, who was identified as being responsible for cutting the victim's neck, was found at the city's bus station while trying to flee to São Paulo.
