Gunshot wounds to the chest are often fatal

How fucking blind are you xD xD sometimes i lose braincells just by reading some of the shit on here. It was an OVER obvious leg shot, near the groin.. nobody died unless they hit the artery on the inside leg

Lol if it was a leg/ groin shot it has a higher chance of being fatal, there are so many arteries there.

Well I know for a fact that you can survive far longer with a collapsed lung then a torn artery.

If you care to read, these are the real death rates for a single gunshot to a specific place.
90% shot in the head die
23% shot in the chest die
10% shot in the leg die
10% shot in the abdomen die
2.7% shot in the arm die
2.3% shot in the ass die
0% shot in the foot die

     Believe it or not, there's very limited data on the subject but these are widely considered the most accurate.  Getting shot can be deadly for many reasons.  The main one is blood loss.  As far as the 0% for feet, obviously you can still die from that in the right circumstance.  But it would almost have to be from infection or because the person has the worst health ever and was about to die anyway.

Cool, now compare arterial bleeds to collapsed lungs

66% of people who cut an artery die rather quickly, within minutes.
10% of people who experience pneumothorax die.  It takes a few days or weeks if the lung doesn't correct itself, also within a few days to a few weeks.  And they usually do heal on their own and go back to normal with zero medical intervention.  That doesn't change the survival rate of being shot in the chest or leg.  I know you know this but I feel like I should type it.  Just because you got shot in the chest means it hit your lung.  Just because you got shot in the leg means you hit your artery. There is other stuff the bullet can hit.

    If you're typing specifically about a shot to the lung and to artery in your leg.  People have two lungs and can easily live with only one.  The leg would be the more deadly injury.  Otherwise you're more likely to survive a leg shot than the chest.  There are major arteries and organs in your chest.  Which is why you're more likely to die from being shot in the chest.  I have two more explanations but this is already long as fuck and I think the main shit was covered.
