Around 7 pm this Wednesday (12), the press office of the emergency and trauma hospital in João Pessoa announced the death of a man who was shot in the center of João Pessoa. The shooting attack recorded in the region was on Avenida General Osório. The victim, a flannel who, according to the police, would have prevented the theft of a vehicle hours before.

Three individuals were taken to the João Pessoa Police Station on suspicion of involvement in the man's death. Tactical Force officers were responsible for the arrest.

According to information from one of the lieutenants responsible for the occurrence, the team received information that a white vehicle with some individuals would be in the region, and the occupants fired shots at a person at the scene. 

The lieutenant highlighted that traffic in the region was quite busy at the time of the approach. He reported that one of the suspects got out of the vehicle and started shooting, resulting in a confrontation.

According to the police, images from monitoring circuits show that the suspects would have arrived at the scene and approached the flannel, shortly afterwards they fired shots at him. The flannel still tried to react, but fell soon after.

The case will be investigated by the Homicide Police Station of João Pessoa. According to initial information, the victim was hit by at least five shots. he was even taken, in serious condition, to the city's Emergency and Trauma Hospital.
