A pair of teenagers from Texas were arrested after a Snapchat video allegedly showed them stealing a necklace from a dead man.

B.M., 17, and a 16-year-old, whose identity was not revealed, allegedly came across the body of a 25-year-old male hanging from railings.

The teens allegedly found the body on July 26, at around 8:38 a.m., at the intersection of Sunday Song and Charismatic, just outside of San Antonio, Texas.
Rather than calling the authorities immediately, the pair called their friend, who arrived at the scene and dialed 911. Deputies determined there was no foul play involved in the death, and ruled it as a suicide.

The following day, officers were made aware of a video circulating on social media which appeared to show the teens with the body before officers arrived on the scene. It was reported the footage was sent to officers anonymously.

Information from BCSO indicated one clip allegedly showed Martin removing a necklace from around the deceased's neck. The statement claimed the two girls admitted to taking the necklace and the charm from the dead man's neck.

The pair claimed they ditched the necklace, but kept the charm, the statement continued.

The site claimed the 16-year-old told deputies she recorded the incident on Snapchat, and put the medallion on her own gold necklace because she thought it "matched her fashion style."

The younger teen later returned the medallion to officers, which was then handed to the man's next of kin, KSAT reported.

The pair were placed into custody on July 27, and both teenagers were charged with theft of a human corpse or grave, with Martin's bond set at $2,000. KSAT reported that she has since been released from jail.
