A 39-year-old man was arrested red-handed for rape after giving a woman a “rear naked choke”, knocking her down and running his hand over the victim's body, in Vila Cosmopolita, East Zone of São Paulo. A security camera caught the crime.

The case was registered at the 63rd DP. According to the incident report, Gleyson Marcos approached the woman from behind on Avenida Índios Goiás around 1 am on Thursday (23).

The victim tried to defend himself, screamed, and the aggressor ran when a neighbor woke up and caught the crime. To g1, the neighbor said he was sleeping when he heard a voice screaming for help.

“I woke up, got up and waited to see where [the voice] was coming from. It was from the street. I got out, opened the gate and saw the guy on top of her. I said I'd go after him. I saw two friends on a motorcycle and said that guy had just abused her. The guys held it and the car appeared, ”she recalls.

Gleyson was first taken to the emergency room and taken to the police station. He remained silent and said he would speak only in court. He claimed to be a stamper.

The victim recognized the police at the police station and reaffirmed the report he had given to the military police. This Friday (24), Justice converted the arrest in flagrante delicto into preventive.

According to g1, he was arrested in September 2010 for the same crime. The arrest in flagrante delicto was registered at the 30th DP, in Tatuapé, also in the East Zone.

In 2012, the 2nd Chamber of Criminal Law of the Court of Justice of São Paulo accepted an appeal and reduced the sentence to 8 years and 2 months.
