A man identified as Miguel Ángel Aquino Estigarribia, 42, who was at the helm of a truck, was involved in a fatal accident in the San Miguel de Villarrica neighborhood, Department of Guairá.
The fatal victim was identified as Eladio Godoy Zarza, 35, who was on his motorcycle and in front of his house talking with his partner Blanca Ramírez, 47, reported NPY.
Police non-commissioned officer Carlos Mercado explained that the driver lost control of his vehicle and ended up ramming Godoy Zarza head-on, while the woman ran and managed to take refuge from the strong impact.
Aquino Estigarribia tested positive for the alcohol test, showing a result of 1,016 mg/l. The intervening personnel explained that the man did not resist arrest and remained at the disposal of the Public Ministry. The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday.
