A new homicide shakes the municipality of Santo Tomás in less than a week.

This time the bloodshed occurred on Calle 3 with Carrera 14, Buena Esperanza neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality, where a hitman entered the store called La Fortuna and shot dead the assistant or person who attended the place.

The victim died at the scene and was identified as Diego Andrés Bohórquez Arrieta , 20 years old, who, as it was known, had only been working there for about 15 days.

The authorities are trying to establish if the crime is related to extortion of the store owner or if there is another motive.

This is the second homicide in less than a week in Santo Tomás. The first occurred last Saturday when gunmen on motorcycles shot at a woman in the Primero de Mayo neighborhood .

The victim was identified as Yeimi Vergara Peñaloza , 36 years old.
