The trapeze artist Eduardo Elenilson Gama, 20, who fell three days ago during an exhibition at a circus, fractured his pelvis, as shown by a tomography performed on Saturday (23) at the municipal hospital Instituto José Frota (IJF), in Fortaleza, where the young remains hospitalized. Hours after the accident, Eduardo even released a video on the social network stating that he was fine and that he had not suffered trauma, however, a new examination showed the fracture. The circus was banned.

According to a friend who follows the artist's case, and who prefers not to be identified, doctors informed this Sunday (24) that surgery will probably not be necessary. Eduardo is still awaiting a more precise assessment, which should take place this Monday. The hospital said it cannot pass on information about patients, because of current legislation.

"Today [Sunday, the 24th] he went to see two specialists. The on-call doctor examined him and informed him that he would not need surgery for the pre-examination. Then another came, looked at the MRI and said the same thing. Now he needs a lot of rest and can't make any effort. Tomorrow he will probably be seen by the spine and pelvis doctor and we'll wait for the opinion", said the trapeze artist's friend.
