Not even death seems to have been enough.

The body of 22-year-old Jonailton José Venâncio da Costa—known as "Jumbito" and allegedly linked to the CV (Comando Vermelho)—was removed from his grave, burned, and decapitated inside the São José Cemetery in the Cruz das Armas neighborhood of João Pessoa.

The incident took place this Saturday (12), just days after Jonailton was shot dead inside the Taipa Community Kitchen in the Costa e Silva neighborhood.

According to the Military Police, the young man had entered the premises in an attempt to escape a group of suspects. He did not succeed; he was struck by gunfire and died.

But apparently, for the criminals, a grave did not mark the end of the story.

According to information received by the police, members of a rival faction allegedly broke into the cemetery, subdued the security guard, and exhumed the body. Then, the macabre ritual was carried out: fire, mutilation, and decapitation.

It is as if the cemetery—a place where one expects to find silence, respect, and rest—had been transformed into a war zone.

Reports indicate that the violence extended beyond the property's walls. Information received by authorities suggests that the head was left in front of the victim's home. The search is ongoing, video from Megabizarro.net
