A man was killed this Thursday (10) inside the Taipa community kitchen in the Costa e Silva neighborhood of João Pessoa, Paraíba, while attempting to flee from men who were chasing him.

According to preliminary information, the victim was accompanied by another person, and both had arrived in the area in a stolen car, which was ultimately abandoned during their escape.

Witnesses reported that about nine men were pursuing the victim. In an attempt to escape the gunmen, the man entered the Taipa community kitchen but was ultimately caught and killed inside the facility.

Initial reports indicated that the victim had died from gunshot wounds. However, police also began investigating the possibility that the man had been stabbed to death.

According to initial reports, the two men who arrived at the scene were heading to the community to carry out an attack. However, it appears they were being watched by others already in the area.

Police were alerted after staff at the community kitchen activated the facility's panic button. Officers arrived at the scene a few minutes later.

The victim's identity has not yet been officially released. Police are investigating the motive for the killing, the involvement of those implicated, and the circumstances that led to the chase.

Authorities are also searching for the second man who was with the victim in order to clarify his involvement in the case.
