Streamer Adalton Rodrigues, 31, known as Lodk, stated that he regrets attempting to jump a fence near the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro. The accident resulted in the loss of the ring finger on his right hand.

Lodk was injured overnight between Friday (4) and Saturday (5) while attempting to enter the festival through an unauthorized area. He said his intention was to create content for a Twitch livestream—where he has 17,900 followers—by highlighting potential flaws in the event's security system.

The streamer said he only realized the severity of the injury after making it to the other side of the fence.

“I jumped over and didn't even realize my ring had snagged on something. When I landed on the other side, I felt I had hurt my finger, but I didn't know I’d torn it off. I said, ‘Bro, I hurt my finger.’ And when he looked up, my finger was hanging from the railing. He was the one who told me,” he recounted.

Following the accident, Lodk was taken to Lourenço Jorge Municipal Hospital in Barra da Tijuca. He underwent surgery and was subsequently discharged.

According to the streamer, doctors ruled out the possibility of reattaching the finger and recommended amputation to prevent the risk of infection.
