The Public Ministry of Pará (MPPA) requested the arrest of the accused after taking the victim's testimony and analyzing the material delivered. It was found that the ex-girlfriend was subjected to five hours of aggression. During the torture sequence, the girl was forced to eat animal feces and even had her hair shaved. According to the victim's testimony, she received an invitation from Márcio Cruz to have lunch at his house. Arriving there, Márcio, unhappy with the end of the relationship, started the aggression with an iron bar. He then shaved the victim's head with a razor, slashing her face and scalp, and made her eat animal feces. At the end of the session of aggression and torture, he still made a cut on her forehead in the shape of an "M", the initial of his name, recorded a video and audio and forwarded it to the victim's family. In one of the audios, the accused said: "I just didn't kill you, bitch, because your life is worth less than shit and my freedom, you rat". Information contained in the police investigation records that the torture lasted about five hours, stopping only after the victim managed to escape through a window of the residence. The video didn't show her legs, but the photos show the other injuries she had.
