A Jordanian lawmaker attempted to shoot another politician with an AK-47 during a parliamentary session.
The incident occurred following a heated debate over government policy.
The lawmaker in question, Talal Al Sharif, tried to bring the rifle into the parliamentary chamber but was stopped by security guards; however, he managed to fire a shot in the hallway.
His target, fellow lawmaker Dmeisi, was unharmed.
The Jordanian parliament experienced a similar incident last year when a lawmaker threatened his opponent with a pistol while being interviewed by a local television station.
