On July 3, 2021, on Azaz Road, in Afrin, Syria, there was a car bomb explosion.

The car bomb killed at least 3 people, including an officer and a child. The incident occurred in a Kurdish-majority city, which has been under the control of the Turkish forces and their loyal factions in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo. The city is Afrin, which is in northern Syria.

An informed source told Shafaq News Agency, "The car exploded in the Ashrafieh neighborhood near Kawa al-Haddad roundabout in the center of the city, which led to the death of Muhammad Hamada, a lieutenant in the Afrin Police Service, the intelligence department of the pro-Turkey factions."

"The explosion also caused the death of a child and another man, and the injury of four others, who were taken to the city hospital," the source added.

Al-Shifa hospital in Afrin was attacked with artillery shells in the middle of this month, killing at least 13 people, including a doctor, other health workers and two children, and injuring 23 people.
