Footage has emerged of a shocking street fight that saw a man stabbed as he was lying on the ground.

Horrific video shows a group of onlookers trying to wrench a knife off a man while another person lies bloodied on the ground.

But the attacker broke away and stabbed his victim again before the knife was finally wrestled off him.
Gloucestershire Police said: 'Detectives have been granted a custody extension for a man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday evening.

'Officers attended Cheltenham Magistrates' Court this morning, Wednesday 28 August, and obtained a warrant for further extension of 36 hours. This is due to expire tomorrow evening, Thursday 29 August.

'The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on Monday evening by armed police in connection with a stabbing on Barton Street, Gloucester where two people suffered injuries.'
The statement continued: 'A man in his 30s who suffered serious injuries remains in hospital in a critical, but stable condition.

'The second man required hospital treatment for an injury to his arm and has since been discharged from hospital.'

Witnesses have been urged to contact Gloucestershire Police or call 101 quoting incident 426 of 26 August.
