Shocking video from Iran published by Masih Alinejad, journalist and activist: it is the violent arrest of a woman for "improper hijab"

A blonde tuft comes out of her green hat, while three women, entirely covered in black, push her and push her into a van. The 'blonde' resists, but to no avail. A few men in uniform, armed with rifles, simply observe the scene. She seems to be watching an episode of the series “The Handmaid's Tale ”, but she has nothing to do, unfortunately, with a dystopian fiction. What we see is "only" the arrest of an Iranian woman who did not wear the veil, or hijab, correctly.

The short video was posted today on X Masih Alineja, an Iranian-born American journalist, blogger, writer and political activist. “A woman is being forcibly trafficked in Tehran today , while the eyes of the world are on the so-called Iranian elections, a darker story unfolds. This woman was violently arrested by morality police for improper hijab. We cannot turn a blind eye to this regime of gender apartheid." Masih Alineja writes it to explain the harsh images, scenes that have become commonplace in Iran. The blogger then refers to the Iranian presidential elections, called for June 28th, early, after the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a plane crash last May 19th and denounces what she defines as the "gender apartheid regime" that exists in Iran .
