Landy Párraga, former beauty queen and model, was murdered inside a cevicheria located in the La Cuadra shopping center, located in the El Guayacán parish of Quevedo.

The former beauty queen was mentioned in chats between drug trafficker Leandro Norero and his lawyer Helive Angulo, alias Estimado , which were published in the Metastasis case, for which there are several detainees.

In those chats, Norero's lawyer told her that she was supposedly being checked by an importer.

Norero had supposedly said that this importer was not hers and that she could not appear related to him because the world would fall on her.

Furthermore, according to those chats, she had introduced him to some generals and a former president of the Assembly.

The now deceased resided in Santo Domingo and had arrived in Quevedo, where on Saturday night she attended the marriage of the former vice prefect of Los Ríos Jhoa Chon-Qui.

Her last posts on Instagram contained photos about this wedding.

After the crime, the police closed the area and carried out operations to locate the criminals.

Párraga began her career as queen of the Venus parish; She later became vicereine of Quevedo; She also participated in the Miss Universe 2022 beauty pageant and other international events.
