At least three people, including two women, were injured on Wednesday by a leopard who was found in Central Kashmir’s Gandarbal. The locals alerted the officials about the animal roaming in the area, prompting a large-scale search operation.
In the now-viral video, the wild cat was seen attacking a wildlife official who was trying to capture the animal.
The video first captures the animal and the official, both of them maintaining a safe distance, when the official bent down to take a stick to control the wild cat. Suddenly, the leopard pounced on the official and attacked his hand. Soon locals with wood and sticks, attacked the animal from behind so that the official could take his injured hand out of the animal’s mouth.
