In the morning hours of Thursday, March 7, Jhon Freddy Arce Arredondo, head of internal control of the Mayor's Office of Anserma, was killed by armed subjects as he was leaving his house.

According to the preliminary version of the authorities, the official was walking with his granddaughter when he was approached by several men in a vehicle.

Apparently, Arce was intercepted in the circumstances of a robbery, but while he was calling for help, he was shot twice in the head, which caused his immediate death.

The white vehicle in which the criminals were traveling was parked a few meters from the official's house. When the man left with the girl and got on the motorcycle to go to work, the pickup truck advanced and stopped in front of him, they cornered him and in the middle of the struggle, Arce got off the motorcycle and ran towards the road to ask for help to a passing ambulance, one of the criminals threw him to the ground and another one shot him in front of the girl.

Shortly after the murder of the head of internal control of the Mayor's Office of Anserma, in a rapid deployment of the Caldas Police, the alleged attackers, who were traveling in a white van, were captured.

The alleged killers of the official were approached in police motorized units. They are five people who were reduced and immobilized in the middle of the road.

In videos reported by Noticias RCN, the five subjects were detained by the authorities on a road in Viterbo.According to the police, two other criminals had managed to flee in a vehicle that had been stolen in Anserma.

Among those captured is a teenager.At the time of capture, a firearm was seized and the vehicle allegedly used in the crime was immobilized.

The municipality decreed three days of mourning, so there will be no administrative activities in all municipal offices.
