Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a lorry in Dhaka's Dhamrai. The accident took place on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Bathuli area of Gangutia union of the upazila on Sunday. The deceased are - Md. Ziaur Rahman (40) and Janib Ali (50). They have gone to Boble Jazana, a resident of Jaypura village in Sombhag union of Dhamrai.
According to the police, Ziaur and Janib were going towards Joypura on a motorcycle from a cow market in Manikganj around noon. On reaching the Bathuli area of the highway, a lorry coming from the opposite direction to Manikganj hit the motorcycle.
They died on the spot, Deputy Inspector (SI) of Gola Highway Police Station Shah Alam said, the body was recovered and brought to the police station. Legal action in this regard is under process.
