Yes This is Russia, she and her boyfriend were accused of stealing/losing drugs, people beating them get paid to carry out punishing beatings on those who steal or do a shitty job selling, gets robbed too often, etc. If you're a good drug seller and suddenly want to quit, lots of times you also get a visit from these guys who force you to continue. I don't miss Russia, it was and always will be a shithole!
