On Monday afternoon, a light aircraft crashed near the Panguilemo Aerodrome, specifically in the roadway of Ruta 5 Sur, in the commune of Talca.

As a result of the accident, the Spanish pilot of the Air Andes company died on the spot and four other people, who were traveling in a smaller cargo vehicle, were injured, as indicated by the Maule Prosecutor's Office.

Likewise, the National Service for Disaster Prevention and Response (Senapred) mentioned that Carabineros, Firefighters and SAMU personnel are working on the emergency. While the "traffic remains interrupted in its entirety".
