Description
On 29th of November 2015, in Kouroussa (eastern Guinea), four prisoners were dragged out of the prison by the mob.
They were accused of killing a gold merchant. One of them, who reportedly delivered the fatal shot to the deceased, was beaten to death and burned. Three other perpetrators were stoned to death.
However, the outrage was based on a rumor that the four prisoners were about to be released. That's not true, and they were only about to be transported to another facility, as they couldn't be tried in a local court.
The Guinean government released a statement and promised to serve justice to these who lynched the prisoners.
