A motorcyclist had his right leg amputated after an accident involving a bus on Avenida Governador Leonel de Moura Brizola, at Centenário, in Duque de Caxias, in the Baixada Fluminense, on Monday morning (27).
The bus was traveling towards the center of Caxias when Mateus Henrique da Silva Ribeiro, 22, ran the signal and invaded the road. In the video, it is possible to see that two other drivers had done the same thing seconds before.
With the crash, the driver fell onto the road, but his motorcycle and his right leg were trapped under the bus.
The motorcycle caught fire as it was dragged. Passengers on the bus got off in despair.
The man was rescued by Samu and taken to the Adão Pereira Nunes Municipal Hospital in Saracuruna. According to the Duque de Caxias Municipal Department, his condition is serious and unstable.
At the hospital, he underwent surgery and had his right arm amputated. Mateus is in the ICU.
