In a shocking scenario for the usually peaceful Vitor Konder neighborhood, in Blumenau, a routine argument turned into a crime scene this Friday afternoon (3). According to witness reports, a man, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was killed in broad daylight, in front of several passers-by and children, after a violent disagreement on Avenida Antônio da Veiga, close to a well-known local supermarket.

At around 6:30 pm, a street candy seller, described as being in a socially vulnerable situation, approached a man in an incisive manner, insisting on selling his products. The refusal to purchase the sweets triggered a verbal altercation that quickly escalated to physical violence.

The situation worsened when the individual, who was accompanied by a child, temporarily distanced himself from the seller, but returned to the scene as tension grew. It was then that the seller, armed with a knife, advanced on the man. In an attempt to defend himself, the attack resulted in a fatal blow.

The episode, which differs from daily life in the region, was recorded on video by people passing by the place. After the conflict, the attacker remained close to the scene of the incident, next to the child, awaiting the arrival of security forces.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) teams were promptly mobilized, but found the death at the scene. The murder weapon, a knife, was found still embedded in the victim's body.

The Military Police, together with the Civil Police, as well as experts and the Legal Medical Institute (IML), are already working at the scene of the incident.
