A soldier was shot dead at a concert hall in Felipe Camarão – Photo: Reproduction
The retired Army soldier was shot dead inside a party house early this Sunday (16) in the Felipe Camarão neighborhood, in the West Zone of Natal . The victim was identified as Clayton Antas Valcácio , 45 years old.
The crime took place shortly before 1 am, according to the Military Police. It is possible to see, through the security cameras, that the military is talking to other people at the event, when two armed men appear and shoot at him. Within seconds, Clayton falls to the ground.
After the shots, people disperse from the hall. A woman still tries to protect him from the shooters, but she doesn't avoid the shots. One of them returns and, with the soldier already down, fires new shots. Clayton died instantly.
The Technical-Scientific Institute of Expertise (Itep) was called in to carry out on-site expertise and an autopsy on the victim's body. The crime will be investigated by the Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP).
A relative of the victim, who preferred not to be identified, said that the relatives do not believe in the crime. According to them, Clayton no longer lived in the neighborhood, but he always went to visit them.
