Description
A physically challenged person named Amir Hossain of Fakir village of Tamta village of Elliotganj South Union of Daudkandi Upazila of Comilla was beaten to death with a spade on Tuesday morning.
On receiving the news, Gouripur police outpost in-charge Md. Asaduzzaman went to the spot and arrested 5 people. The arrested are Md. Nashim, Shamim and Shahadat, sons of deceased Shahid Ullah of the same village, Siam and Sihab, sons of Nashim. In the CCTV footage of the murder, the physically challenged Amir Hossain was sitting on a wheel chair while the killer Md. Nashim hit Amir Hossain on the head with a spade from behind. When Amir Hussain fell down the road from the wheelchair, the killer left the place with a spade.
Residents of the area said that a year ago, the killer Md. Nashim killed Amir Hossain's son Ghiyas Uddin and ran away. Local residents arrested him and handed him over to Daudkandi Model Police Station.
In this regard, Gias Uddin's mother filed a murder case in the police station. The accused in the same case killed his father in the same manner and took shelter in his house. Locals arrested him and handed him over to the police.
