SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS.- A man dressed as a worker shot an older adult to death on Friday night, while he was playing cards with his relatives in the marquee of his residence, on Génova street in the Barrio Lindo sector, in San Pedro de Macoris.

The victim was identified as Thomás de la Rosa, alias Mártires, approximately 65 years old, who died while receiving medical attention at a private health center in that city, where he arrived in a dying state, presenting multiple gunshot wounds.

The event was captured by a surveillance camera, in whose images it is observed when the subject enters the residence and without saying a word shoots several times against the deceased today.

There were about six other people at the scene, including children, but they all escaped unharmed.

The remains of Thomás were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for autopsy purposes, while the authorities carry out the investigations of the place to find the whereabouts of the person responsible, who did not use any object to cover his face.
