Details are thin but the aftermath was live-streamed and shared widely depicting a young, black male, lying dead on the sidewalk and his killer robbing him of one dollar while kicking him in the head repeatedly.
It seems the victim was shot in the head, there also seems to be a pair of scissors nearby, hinting towards the possibility the victim dropped them after being shot.
Going through the police reports for the day, the closest report we could find was the follow:
In the 5300 block of S. Cicero, on July 26, 2021, at approx. 5:02 p.m., a male victim, unk age, was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head near the sidewalk. The victim was pronounced on scene. No offenders are in custody and area detectives are investigating.
