The director of the Polyclínica do Pedra 90 , Ederson Matos, aged 37, died on Saturday night (03) after being shot in his shop, in Cuiabá.

A friend of Ederson, who was at the scene, was also injured by the shots, but he was treated and released.

The city of Cuiabá published a note on the death of the director, noting that he had been in charge of the polyclinic for two years.

“It was with great pain and immense sadness that I received the news of the death of my friend Ederson, coordinator of the Pedra 90 Polyclinic. With a broken heart, I ask God for a lot of strength for the family. May He console and give the necessary comfort to everyone to overcome this moment of deep suffering”, said Mayor Emanuel Pinheiro, when mourning the death of the coordinator.

At the head of the Pedra 90 Polyclinic for about 2 years, Ederson worked as a nurse at the site for about 6 years, before becoming coordinator. Much loved by the neighborhood community, he was 37 years old and leaves a wife and three children.

Municipal Health Secretary Suelen Alliend also deeply regretted the death of the coordinator.

“We are never prepared to lose someone dear, especially in such violent circumstances. Ederson was an exemplary coordinator, committed and very human with patients. At this moment, my thoughts and prayers are directed to the family and colleagues at the Polyclinic, who are the people who most lived with Ederson. I am sure that his memory will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him”, lamented Suelen.
