Guwahati: Negligence has been a major cause of deaths on railway tracks in the last few years. There are reports of many people trying to cross the railway track illegally and getting hit by the train. In one such incident, a person died after being hit by a speeding train at Ajara in Guwahati on Sunday. The man was allegedly trying to cross the crossing illegally despite the gate being closed. The CCTV footage of the incident shows how the man tried to cross the tracks despite being close to the train. The site of the incident was accurately described as Azara's Ranigate Crossing. He was hit by the Dibrugarh Weekly Express (No.13282) train. “When the unidentified person tried to cross the crossing illegally, train no. 13282 ran over him,” said the CPRO of NF Railway. Even though people rushed to save him, he died after the collision. the matter is being investigated.
