This is the 19th violent death recorded this year in this municipality in the south of Valle de Aburrá.
The authorities confirmed the violent death of a man, perpetrated with a firearm in the sector known as Pilsen in the vicinity of the La Independencia neighborhood of the Itagüí municipality, in the south of the Aburrá Valley.

According to versions compiled by the authorities with eyewitnesses to this crime, it seems that a man who was traveling on a motorcycle approached the driver of a taxi and intimidated him with a firearm.

Subsequently, the driver of the public service vehicle tried to defend himself and with the assailant's own firearm, shot him several times, taking his life at the scene of the murder.

Some versions indicated that the driver got out of the taxi and picked up the weapon that the deceased was carrying, with which apparently minutes before he had committed a robbery in the sector. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was wearing a light shirt, blue jeans, a brown strap, blue shoes and was carrying a black suitcase.
