Incident happend at Russia

In the Yaroslavl region, a passenger train on the Moscow-Chita route knocked down a 37-year-old cyclist to death. 

The incident happened yesterday, August 24, at 16:50 on the railway section of the Debolovskaya - Rostov stations.

It was established that the victim was a resident of Rostov. While cycling across the railroad tracks,

he ignored a red traffic light, an audible signal, and a lowered barrier.

The train driver gave a loud signal. However, the cyclist did not respond to this either. 

Then emergency braking was applied. But due to the short distance, a collision could not be avoided.

Information about the incident was also published in a local group on social networks. 

Eyewitness reports began to appear in the comments to the post.

- I called an ambulance. He was riding his bike and didn't pay attention. Everything happened in front of my eyes. 

He received a dissection of the head in the temple area, a broken leg and foot. 

The guy works at the base near the crossing, sells feed, - one of the eyewitnesses wrote.

As a result of the incident, the man received injuries incompatible with life,

the press service of the Department of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the

Northwestern Federal District reported.

It is assumed that the cyclist was drunk.

An investigation is currently underway and all the circumstances of the incident are being established
