Steering away from our in-depth analysis of the chimpanzee's violent nature, we shift our focus to a softer emotion...love. When an adult or sub-adult Leroy decides to take a mate, he ventures off from his bachelor gang in search of a willing Shaniqua. Horny and desperate, the Leroy often dresses in gaudy branded clothing that is brightly colored. The majority of his garments are cheap knock-offs, with one authentic piece of Gucci or Louis Vuitton added for that extra status boost. Shaniquas are known to be fussy when choosing a mate, so the Leroy's outfit will be scrutinized closely. It must be as visually offensive as possible: good taste has no place in Leroy's wardrobe, and head-to-toe logo-print patterns are the staple garment of any marginally sensible Leroy.

Once properly dressed, our Leroy liberally sprays himself with a popular but offensive cologne, like Cool Water or anything by Versace. The rule of thumb is; if Leroy cannot be smelled for miles, then he will never attract a Shaniqua. The first face-to-face meeting is tenuous...as our Leroy approaches a pack of Shaniquas, he sounds a mating call. The aggressive hoot sounds like the English phrase: "Lemme holla at chu hoe!". Leroy will sound this call and display himself: puffing out his chest to emphasize his sagging pants and shuffling gait. The Shaniquas titter amongst themselves, excited. Apparently, one of them has found our Leroy attractive. Once his approach is complete, the Leroy makes his intentions known by inviting the interested Shaniqua to go for a ride in his Impala or Dodge Hellcat. If she accepts, they abscond to a motel room, where their bond is consummated with a bottle of Tanqueray and a stuffed bear that bears the phrase: "Shit, bitch, you is fine!".

Nine months and a failed relationship later, our Shaniqua gives birth to a litter of niglets.

After a year of suspicion and heartbreak, a great, dramatic fight then ensues between our Leroy and his Shaniqua. He accuses the female of infidelity, while she staunchly defends her innocence. Shaniqua, however, is hiding a little secret. She has, in fact, been unfaithful to our Leroy, and at this point; it is unknown whether or not Leroy is the proud father of this litter, or if he is a cuckold being used to raise another Leroy's offspring. Either way, he storms off in search of high-tar slims and milk, never to be seen again. The Shaniqua, however, is not worried. Leroy signed the birth certificates, and so must pay child support in accordance with Ape Law. Our Leroy remains elusive: hiding deep in the city, staying with other bachelor Leroys and generally flying under the radar. Strangely, he never bothered to block Shaniqua's number, and so, receives numerous threatening messages and texts, the bulk of which degenerate into desperate pleas for his return. No matter her ploy, our Leroy, will not be deterred from his quest for milk.

A Leroy questing for milk will often disappear for years at a time: shying away from other bachelor groups and everyday life in the militia. Often he will choose another mate; a Shaniqua whom he was courting behind his Shaniqua's back, and begin a family unit with his new bride. Connubial bliss never lasts for Leroy, because his very nature betrays him to the cyclical pattern of mate: breed: deny paternity: go out for milk.

We will return to this dramatic turn of events in a few moments.
