The incident took place during the tricolor yatra in Bilochpura village of Singhawali Ahir area
On Monday, on the occasion of Independence Day, a tricolor yatra was organized
in Bilochpura village under the leadership of village head Nasir.
Hundreds of people were celebrating independence with patriotic songs on DJ in the Tiranga Yatra.
As soon as the yatra reached near the gate of Bilochpura village, 32-year-old Yunus
of the village climbed on the gate to wave the flag. When he started returning
after waving the tricolor flag at the gate, he got hit by the high tension power line passing over the gate. As soon as the current started, it fell down about 25 feet with a strong jolt.
The sudden incident caused a stir. The villagers immediately reached the Baghpat district
hospital with the injured youth. Seeing the serious condition there,
he was referred to Meerut Medical College. where the situation remains worrisome.
