A man identified as 27-year-old Wesley Pereira da Silva, better known as 'Paulista', was executed with nine gunshots inside a bar on Avenida Josipio Lustosa, in the Mocambinho neighborhood, in the north of Teresina.

According to information collected at the scene, the victim was working at the bar counter called Mocambinho Bebidas, when four men arrived at the scene in two vehicles, went to him and shot him.

“He was inside the bar, which is reserved for the owner, behind the counter. There were four elements, two rode in a white vehicle that was not identified the brand and two in a red pole. Two were hooded and two were wearing a black cap”, declared Commander César.

Also according to the commander, the victim's girlfriend reported that he had already reported that he had observed people hanging around the establishment hours before the crime. “According to his girlfriend, he made a comment that in the morning he saw this movement of people walking slowly, watching him here,” she said.

Police reported that Wesley Pereira already had a history of illegal possession of a firearm. “His girlfriend owns the establishment and he worked for her. We talked to her, but she doesn't know what the motivation would be,” he said.

The expertise reported that the victim was hit with nine shots, all with .40 ammo. “He was hit with restricted-use ammunition in the head, neck, chest and arm,” said the expert.

Agents from the Department of Homicide and Protection of Persons (DHPP) were at the scene to begin investigations into the case. The Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) carried out the removal of the body.
