Coatza Hospital Patient Throws Himself From The Second Floor
COATZACOALCOS, VER.- A patient from the Valentín Gómez Farías regional hospital threw himself from one of the windows on the second floor, and so far it is unknown if he survived the fall.

According to unofficial data, the events took place on Sunday morning on the second floor, where the psychiatry area is located, since apparently the subject suffers from schizophrenia.

The individual managed to launch himself because the windows of the building were opened due to problems with the air conditioning and due to the lack of surveillance.

Hospital workers tried to prevent the act of suicide, but the patient threw himself after holding onto cables.

In the lower part, triple curtains and water were placed to cushion the fall, but it is unknown if the patient survived.

Elements of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) arrived at the medical institution after what happened.

The health sector authorities, for their part, have not commented on the matter. Inside the hospital, it was requested not to disclose images, since some people filmed the moment in which the patient jumps.
