According the full video its either a plastic tip or a ballistic tip bullet, I'm also starting to realise that it was also a rifle and not a shotgun haha

The gun is a Barrett M82 .50 BMG and the round used was a Hornady Match Ammo 50 BMG 750 Grain A-MAX.  They're armor piercing rounds that can go through ¾ inch steel at 1,400 meters.  And still able to kill anyone behind the steel with nearly the full energy the bullet had before going through the steel.  Because the ballistic cap.  But I think it's worth mentioning.  A normal round from a BMG fifty caliber rifle can blow a deer apart like in the video.  If it hits the right spot.  It hits with nearly 13,300 pounds a square foot.  Which is really insane.  There's a video of United States soldiers shooting goats for fun in Afghanistan.  It will rip a limb off often.  And a slug fired from a twelve gauge shotgun can produce a similar injury.  But it's probably a one in a million shot.  The odds increase with a ten gauge.  That's the gun called an elephant gun.  It is used to kill elephants.  Still, it's very unlikely to explode a deer head.  But not impossible, so thinking it was a slug isn't that bad if you're not into guns really.

The only 50cal I've ever heard of is the Barreta since its used on so many YouTube shooting channels, what would happen if you shot a goat with a ballistic tip Baretta? Would it just turn to mist? I'll have a look around for the Afghani goat busters you mentioned

      I didn't type the actual model but that was allegedly a Barrett M82.  The ".50 BMG" is the caliber and manufacture of the ammunition the gun was designed to use.  There are many brands and models  that use .50 BMG.  As for the difference between the ballistic cap round and the standard on a body.  I really don't know how much of a difference that would have on flesh and bone.  It would likely create a way bigger wound.  If you look at this gif.  It demonstrates how a bullet fired from a rifle that big kills you.  The bullet will go right through and do a good amount of damage.  But the bullet is going so fast that the friction of it passing through a body generates so much heat that the surrounding area rapidly expands outward away from the sides of the bullet.  It's like a shockwave that ripples through the body destroying organs.  Then the expanded area collapses back to where it was.  So you might not have a giant hole. With the caps, it'll do the same but make a way bigger hole.  When a bullet hits solid bone with that much energy and heat.  That's when you'll see a more explosion like effect.  The bones shatter to smml pieces.  The shards will be flung outwards by the shockwave of expanding air and matter.  If hit on the head.  The skull will shatter in spots.  Making the skull much weaker, obviously.  Then the shockwave of expanding air and matter will have no problem continuing outward and rip the head to pieces.  And both types of ammunition can have the same effect.  I've been awake for two in a half days.  I'm not explaining this very well.

There's basically zero percent chance of surving.  It hasn't happened yet.  Just to think, over here in The United States of America.  Any dumb mother fucker can buy that military grade weapon if they're not a felon.  Or diagnosed with some mental health issues.  This is coming from a gun lover.  There's absolutely no fucking reason that gun shoud be legal to buy and avaliable to the public.  Many places have proven that not allowing people to have guns makes a giant difference.  I'd gladly give up my thirteen guns if I never had to hear about a school of little kids being shot up, killing a bunch of kids.  I'm a gun lover, but America should really change on gun control.  We won't though, I can guarantee that.

You explained well, its more than I've previously known about any type of firearm, I also agree that laws surrounding firearms specifically in America should be changed but there has been so many school shootings with no effective changes that it seems unlikely. If anything was enacted then it would also obviously only apply to sales made after that point, all the mental cunts already have guns or will rush to buy them if the prospect of stricter laws is around, allowing it in the first place was the biggest mistake possible; its polluted into what the future might or might not be. Also, why have you been awake for two and a half (now 3 if still going) days?

     I'm a life long real insomniac and an intense sleepwalker.  Funny thing is, I don't know if you mentioned it as speculation.  Every time there's talk about gun control in The United States of America.  Gun sales sky rocket.  Without fail, but I don't know if all the mental people have guns or not.  But it doesn't matter with the current system.  They only check applications at random and never catch someone who puts they haven't been diagnosed with any mental health issue.  If you put no, they just believe you I guess.  It's funny and of course it's not funny.  Australia has proven it can be done done after the fact.  They made so many guns not legal to own and bought them from anyone who turned them in.  And quit selling them obviously.  The effects started quickly really.  Twenty some years down the line and with everything considered.  It was the right move and made a difference.  Of course there aren't many people there though.  The top two most populated American cities metropolitan areas have more people than all of Australia.  The effects would be slow.
 You'll never rid gun crime completely but we should at least fucking try already.  It won't happen though, you're right about that.
